There is no point in reducing the calorie intake drastically from many points of view:
- Because of the defensive mechanism of the system you instead lose muscles and minerals, but no fat.
- The muscle to fat ratio changes, and the metabolism slows, furthermore after starvation one begins adding fat more quickly than before.
- Not eating properly gives your body a hard time, and the lack of basic nutrients has a negative effect on the whole body.
- You will not have enough energy for regular sports, so dieters become less enthusiastic and have less energy for active exercises.
- A poor diet leads to listlessness that could last for years in some cases.
