What are the stages of Prevention?

The development of health problems can be divided into three stages:

In the first stage, the problem has not yet developed. This does not mean that there is nothing to do as parents. The first task is to educate children about leading a healthy lifestyle. With that, you can also give them some basic explanation about the cause of some childhood health problems. When a child learns and is able to imagine how bad a certain problem can be, he or she will be more likely to work hard to avoid the possibility of sickness or health problems.

The second stage occurs when the first symptoms start to appear and this stage can generally only be recognised by medical professionals. Often, the disorder or health problem is caused by environmental or external factors. Knowing this, your task increases: the harmful environmental effects need to be eliminated as much as possible. At this point, the child needs to understand the consequences of the health problem and to be made fully aware that prevention works best with the cooperation of the child.

In the third stage, unfortunately, the health problem has fully developed. The basic task now is to stop the deterioration caused by the condition with doctor recommended treatment. In most cases, the health problem is treatable or curable. Often, lifestyle modification can prevent the recurrence of the illness.
