What about other liquids?

It is not correct to say that every liquid can be considered the same as water. In other liquids, there can be a lot of solid material too. For processing or digestion of the solid material, water is needed. Your daily dose of water must, therefore, be at least 2 liters, in addition you can drink tea, soup and fruit.

Drinks with caffeine content are water removers, therefore the more you drink them, the more extra water you need to drink too not to deplete your body.

The alcohol content in drinks also speeds up water elimination; so they do not count as water consumption as well.
