The proven steps to abandoning addiction

1. You have to find out the background for this substitute action! What is it that's missing or what is it that's too dominant in your life? What is it that you always distract your attention on?

2. If you have found a motive, you now have to realise it. You have to accept that you are addictive because of that reason. Look in the mirror and confess that you are on the wrong track because of problem. Your problem and your substitute actions won't disappear, until you change your attitude, your way of thinking and even your addictive personality!

3. Decide that you will make changes! Decisively, as a complete change is the most effective from one day to another. It is less effective but sometimes a good solution if you set a deadline, and you slowly reduce using the drug.

4. The harmful habits must be turned to actions that give you energy! Count how much time you spent daily with substitute actions and turn this time into positive actions! For example, if you smoked... Smoking a cigarette takes about 6 minutes, smoking 20 is 120 minutes, therefore, 2 hours. Instead of this you could do breathing exercises, since these can be done during any other activities and hands-free.

5. Consciously and automatically (through the positive activity) your way of thinking will change. You can solve your problems, and get into harmony with yourself and cut down harmful actions forever!
